The first lunar eclipse of 2022 will be a total lunar eclipse known as the "Blood Moon," which will occur on Sunday and Monday (May 15, 16). The Moon is projected to take on a crimson tinge when it passes through the Umbra, the darkest area of Earth's shadow. Africa, Europe, North America, and South America will all be able to see it.
