UP Yoddhas Climb To The 3rd Place With A Thrilling Victory Over Bengal Warriors

UP Yoddhas today climbed up to the third place in the ninth Pro Kabaddi League standings registering a thrilling 33-32 win over Bengal Warriors at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad. This victory also saw an authoritative performance by UP Yoddhas captain Pardeep Narwal who registered in 76th career Super 10 earning 14 points with great support from all-rounder Gurdeep (4) and Rohit Tomar (4). UP Yoddhas are now placed third with 60 points to their kitty in the ninth Pro Kabaddi League Standings. UP Yoddhas will face U-Mumba on 2nd December, 2022. The match will be telecast LIVE on Star Sports Network and can be streamed LIVE on Disney Hotstar, 07:30 p.m. (IST) onwards.
UP Yoddhas won the toss and decided to defend first. Bengal Warriors drew first blood with a multi-point raid that was evened out immediately after by UP Yoddhas. Both the teams gave a tough fight to each other and the scores remained at par till the 11th minute where the scorecard read 8-8. However, it was here, where, UP Yoddhas changed gears and inflicted the first All-Out on Bengal Warriors. UP Yoddhas thereafter raced ahead with the scoreboard reading 15-10 to their favour with just five minutes to go for the first half. An impeccable final Dubki raid by UP Yoddhas captain Pardeep Narwal that came in final moments of the first half saw them race ahead to close the first half with a eight point lead as the score board read 19-11.
UP Yoddhas returned with their momentum intact as they inflicted the second ‘All-Out’ of the match on Bengal Warriors in the first minute of the half and increased their lead to 11. UP Yoddhas hereon never looked back and continued their brilliant show on the mats with an impressive offensive and defensive show. However, Bengal Warriors tried making a comeback and nearly made one as well when Maninder Singh pinned down 3 players of UP Yoddhas leading to their first All-Out of the game. At this point Bengal Warriors travelled a long distance and reduced their deficit to just three points with two minutes to go in the final half. However UP Yoddhas came back strong and did not lose their lead to wrap up the game with a thrilling one-point victory over Bengal warriors as the scoreboard read 33-32.
