Vivekananda Youth Award Application Deadline Extended to September 12

Maharajganj 07 september (desk):-Maharajganj: The application deadline for the prestigious state-level Vivekananda Youth Award has been extended to September 12th. Initially, the last date was set for August 20th, but the extension allows more young individuals to apply. Under this initiative, 10 youths will be honored for their exceptional contributions to society, with each awardee receiving ₹50,000. The award aims to inspire young people to engage in social work and community service.

District Youth Welfare Officer Vaibhav Singh explained that the award is intended for youths between the ages of 15 and 35. It seeks to motivate them to participate in activities that benefit society. The selection committee, headed by the District Magistrate, includes members such as the Chief Development Officer and the District Youth Welfare Officer. They will evaluate the candidates and select the awardees based on their accomplishments in various fields.

The Vivekananda Youth Award recognizes individuals for their outstanding work in areas such as sports, tree plantation, family welfare, blood donation, addiction recovery, water conservation, the establishment of libraries, organic farming, solar energy projects, cleanliness drives, and national integration. It also highlights exceptional efforts in literacy, disaster management, voter awareness, community service, and other areas that make a positive impact on society.

To qualify for the award, applicants must be residents of the district, aged 15 to 35, and have completed notable work over the past three years. The award is not open to individuals employed in government services, universities, or educational institutions such as schools and colleges. This award serves as recognition for those who have made a significant difference in their communities and encourages continued service in these important areas.
