Why these Covid warriors are facing termination, salary delays

“I don’t need flower petals or diyas, just give me my job back,” says Ram Kirpal Kamti, a sanitation worker as he stands outside the compound of Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital (KSCH) in New Delhi.
It is ironic that he and other Covid warriors like him who helped prop up an overburdened public health system through the worst of the pandemic are now pleading for their jobs.
