Singapore is recognized for its well-established semiconductor industry, contributing approximately 10% of global semiconductor output. As part of the visit, PM Modi and PM Wong are scheduled to visit a semiconductor manufacturing facility, where they will discuss synergies between the semiconductor ecosystems of both countries

The leaders aim to sign MoUs that will enhance cooperation in manpower skilling within the semiconductor sector. This initiative is expected to provide Indian youth with better skills and opportunities, aligning with India's broader goals of technological advancement and economic growth

Meetings with Singaporean Leaders and Business Community

Later in the day, PM Modi is set to meet with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. These meetings are crucial for fostering high-level diplomatic engagement and exploring further avenues for collaboration
