TWO DESPERATE SNATCHERS CARRYING FIRE ARMS ROAMING IN THE AREA IN ORDER TO COMMIT CRIME NABBED BY THE TEAM OF PS KASHMERE GATE, NORTH DISTRICT, DELHI

ONE STOLEN MOTORCYCLE, ONE COUNTRY MADE PISTOL, THREE LIVE CARTRIDGES AND FOUR SNATCHERD MOBILE PHONES, RECOVERD FROM THEIR POSSESSION.

THE ACCUSED PERSONS HAVE COMMITTED BACK TO BACK SNATCHINGS IN THE AREAS OF PS RAJPARK, PUNJABI BAGH AND SARAI ROHILLA AND THEN ENTERED IN THE AREA OF PS KASHMERE GATE FOR COMMITTING SUCH CRIME.

ONE OF THE ACCUSED IS HABITUAL CRIMINAL WITH THE HISTORY OF INVOLVEMENT IN 31 CASES IN DIFFERENT POLICE STATIONS OF DELHI.

ANOTHER ACCUSED IS BUDDING CRIMINAL HOWEVER, HIS PREVIOUS ANTECEDENTS ARE BEING VERIFIED.

As per directions of senior officers to curb the incidents of snatching as well as street crime, intensive patrolling by the staff of Police Station Kashmere Gate led by Inspr. Kumar Jiweshwar, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate under guidance of Shri Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali in the area was emphasized which bore fruits.

BRIEF FACTS:
On 07.08.2022 at about 10:10 PM, SI Sandeep Yadav along with SI K.L. Kuldeep, ASI Madhukar, Ct Sachin, Ct Kuldeep Singh and Ct Ravinder Kumar were checking the vehicles at Metro Gate No. 03, Kashmere Gate, Delhi, under the close supervision of Inspr. Kumar Jiweshwar, SHO/PS Kashmere Gate and guidance of Shri Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali. In the meantime, they noticed two motorcycle borne persons in suspicion condition so, the police team indicated the rider of motorcycle to stop for checking and enquiry, but the rider accelerated the speed and tried to flee from the spot. But the above said police team instantly swung into action and the suspects were nabbed after a short chase tactfully by the alert police team. Their searching/frisking was carried out and during searching frisking, 02 alive cartridges and two mobile phones make Redmi and Vivo were recovered from the pockets of motorcycle rider identified as Rajesh @ Rohit, age-26 years and 01 loaded Country Made Pistol having One live round and two mobile phones make Tecno and Oppo were recovered from the possession of pillion rider identified as Prince, age-19 years.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 506/22 dated 07.08.2022 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act and 102 Cr.P.C. was registered at PS Kashmere Gate and investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, both the accused persons Rajesh @ Rohit, age-26 years and Prince, age-19 years disclosed that they had purchased the recovered Country Made Pistol and 03 Live Cartridges from one Aaftab r/o Jahangirpuri, Delhi for Rs. 12,000/- about 02 months ago and they both were using the same for committing crime and to terrorise the gullible people.

Further, they confessed/admitted that they have stolen the recovered motorcycle, make TVS Apache bearing registration No. DL11SQXXXX from the area of PS Paschim Vihar 03 days ago and they were using the same in committing criminal activities. In this regard a case vide e-FIR No. 0021729/22, dated 03.08.2022 u/s 379 IPC was got registered at PS Paschim Vihar on the complaint of Shri Abhishek Kumar, r/o Nihal Vihar, Nangloi, Delhi.

They further revealed that they snatched one mobile phone in the area of Raj Park, one from the area of Punjabi Bagh, one from the area of Sarai Rohilla on 06.08.2022. One mobile phone, make Techno recovered from the accused Prince is yet to be connected with crime.

Both the accused persons further revealed that they came in the area of PS Kashmere Gate for commission of crime, but unfortunately nabbed by the alert patrolling/vehicle checking team of PS Kashmere Gate and foiled them for further commission of crime.

On sustained interrogation it revealed that the accused Rajesh @ Rohit, age-26 years is a desperate and habitual criminal with the history of involvement in 31 cases of Snatching, Theft and Arms Act registered against him in different police stations of Delhi. He is an active BC of PS Sultanpuri and he was released from in the month of May, 2022. Whereas, his co-accused Prince, age-19 years is a budding criminal, however his previous antecedents are being verified.

Both the accused are school dropout and studied up to 7th and 9th standard only and both are drug addict, hence they commit crime to earn easy money and to fulfil their lust of drugs.

Subsequently, raids were conducted at the possible hideouts of the alleged supplier of illegal fire arms namely Aaftab, but he was found absconding.

DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

  1. Rajesh @ Rohit r/o B-Block Sultanpuri, Delhi, aged-26 years. (Previously found involved in 31 cases of Snatching, Theft and Arms etc. registered at Police Stations Palam Village, Sultanpuri, Mangolpuri, Punjabi Bagh, Paschim Vihar, Vijay Vihar, Nangloi, Prem Nagar and Rani Bagh Delhi. He is an active BC of PS Sultanpuri and released from jail in the month of May, 2022).

  2. Prince r/o B-Block, Sultanpuri, Delhi, aged-19 years. (His previous antecedents are being verified).

RECOVERY:

  1. One motorcycle, make TVS Apache stolen from the area of PS Paschim Vihar, Delhi.
  2. One Country Made Pistol & 03 Live Cartridges.
  3. 04 Mobile phones, make (Redmi, VIVO, Techno & OPPO) snatched in the areas of Police Stations Rajpark, Punjabi Bagh and Sarai. (01 Mobile Phone make Techno is yet to be connected with crime).
