Plastic items have been banned across the country. Due to this, various states are actively taking preventive measures to eliminate plastic. Since there is a danger to the lives of wild animals in the hills, massive efforts have been made to take back everything from plastic items to glass bottles.

Kodaikanal, the princess of the hills, is visited by tourists from various regions. Wild animals are getting affected by the plastic waste they throw away. So plastic items are banned and confiscated at check post.

Plastic bottles confiscated from tourists are piled up like a mountain at the forest department check post in Moir Point, a roundabout in the forest area.

As there are many wild animals in this area, there is a situation where animals eat them and harm them. Therefore, social activists have demanded that the confiscated plastic bottles should be disposed of immediately.
