Citizen Forum Facilitates Release of Inmates from Maharajganj District Jail

Maharajganj 07 September (desk):-Maharajganj: The Citizen Forum, a social organization, has successfully secured the release of three inmates from the Maharajganj District Jail. These inmates, who were unable to pay their fines due to dire financial circumstances, were granted freedom thanks to the Forum’s intervention. The beneficiaries include two individuals from Maharajganj and one from Siddharth Nagar.

The inmates released include Arjun Sahni, a 22-year-old from Bharwalia in the Thuthibari police area, and Govind, a 30-year-old from Karmhawa, Purandar Pur. Both had outstanding fines of ₹6,000 each. Additionally, Sunil Pandey, a 31-year-old from Uska Bazaar in Siddharth Nagar, had a fine of ₹8,000. The Citizen Forum stepped in to cover these fines, alleviating the financial burden that had kept them behind bars.

Dr. Shantisharan Mishra, the Forum’s media spokesperson, explained that the intervention was part of their ongoing effort to assist individuals who face imprisonment due to financial inability to pay their fines. The Forum’s executive team, including Dr. Balram Bhatt, General Secretary Vimal Kumar Pandey, Treasurer Dilip Shukla, Dr. Bipin Yadav, Vijay Singh Sant, and Dashrath Gupta, coordinated with the jail authorities to facilitate the release.

This act of support underscores the Forum’s commitment to addressing social justice issues and helping those in distress. By securing the release of these individuals, the Forum not only relieved them of their financial burden but also contributed to their reintegration into society, allowing them to return to their families and communities.
