Helicopter Service to Ayodhya: Travel from These UP Cities and Know the Fare

Ayodhya 18 September: (Desk)The Uttar Pradesh government is set to launch helicopter services to Ayodhya from six districts, enhancing travel options for pilgrims and tourists. This initiative comes as preparations intensify for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Mandir, scheduled for later this month. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the service, which aims to facilitate easier access to the revered site.

Service Overview
The helicopter services will operate from Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Agra. Each helicopter can accommodate up to five passengers, with a combined weight limit of 400 kg. Passengers are permitted to carry a maximum of 5 kg of luggage. The flights will provide an aerial view of key attractions in Ayodhya, including the Ram Mandir, Hanumangarhi, and Saryu Ghat.

The services will offer various flight durations and
corresponding fares:

15-minute Aerial Tour: This tour covers the Ram Mandir and surrounding areas, costing ₹3,539 per person.

40-minute Flight from Gorakhpur: This route spans 126 km and is priced at ₹11,327 per person.

45-minute Flight from Lucknow: Covering 132 km, this service also costs ₹14,159 per person.

50-minute Flight from Prayagraj: This route covers 157 km at the same fare of ₹14,159.

55-minute Flight from Varanasi: This service covers 160 km and is similarly priced at ₹14,159.
For longer distances, such as flights from Mathura and Agra that take approximately 135 minutes, fares are set at ₹35,399 per person.

Booking Process
Interested devotees must make advance bookings to secure their seats on these helicopter rides. The Tourism Department will manage the booking process and oversee the operational aspects of the service. The schedule for flights will be adjusted based on demand to ensure daily availability from each departure point.
