Students Showcase Artistic Talents at District Art Festival in Baghpat

Baghpat 11 September (desk):-Baghpat – A District Art Festival was organized on Tuesday at the Government Girls' Inter College as part of the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (holistic education campaign). The event saw participation from students of 26 different schools, who showcased their talents in various forms of art, including dance, drama, music, visual arts, and sculpture.

The program began with the lighting of a lamp in front of a portrait of Goddess Saraswati. The judging panel for the event consisted of retired MM Degree College professor Dr. S.K. Sharma, Ashok Bandhu, and Shashi Bala. The performances included a wide range of art forms, with participants from different schools earning top positions in various categories.

In the dance category, Dipanshi Ujjwal from Vedantik International School, Aminagar Sarai, secured the first position. The Saloni Group from Government High School, Choubli, excelled in drama, while Rajat from Vedantik International School won the first prize in visual arts. In folk dance, Bushra from the host school, Government Girls' Inter College, bagged the top spot, while solo singing was won by a student from Gandhi Smarak Inter College, Doghat. The group singing competition was won by the host school as well.

District School Inspector Dharmendra Kumar Saxena honored the winning participants with awards. Several officials, including nodal officer Dr. Vandana Sharma, Poonam, Chhavi Srivastava, and others, were present during the event to encourage and support the young talents.
