Deadline Extended for National Income and Merit-based Scholarship Applications

Maharajganj 07 September (desk):-Maharajganj: The deadline for online applications for the National Income and Merit-based Scholarship Scheme has been extended. Initially, the last date to apply was set for September 5th, but it has now been pushed to September 20th. However, the examination date remains unchanged. This extension gives more students the opportunity to submit their applications for the scholarship program.

Applicants who have made errors in their forms will be able to make corrections between September 21st and 23rd. A letter issued by the Director of the Psychology Department, Uttar Pradesh, Prayagraj, outlined these new guidelines. Applications will only be accepted through the online portal; no offline or postal applications will be considered. Students interested in applying for the scholarship must complete their applications through the official website.

To be eligible, students must have passed their Class 7 examinations during the 2023-24 academic year with a minimum of 55% marks and should now be studying in Class 8 for the 2024-25 session in a recognized non-government, government, or local body school. A relaxation of 5% marks is provided for students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed ₹3.5 lakh. If an applicant does not upload their reservation certificate, they will be considered under the general category. No application fee is required for students applying for this scholarship.

The application process for the National Income and Merit-based Scholarship Scheme is currently underway, with the new deadline now set for September 20th. Interested students can apply online for free. The scholarship exam is scheduled to take place in November, as per the original plan.
