The stadium, built 20 years ago to promote sports like cricket in the region, has fallen into disrepair over the years. Initially, the facility even had a cricket coach, but as the condition of the stadium worsened, the coach was withdrawn, and local athletes stopped using the facility due to safety concerns.

Recognizing the growing demand for proper sports infrastructure, the local authorities assigned the PWD the task of preparing a renovation plan. The PWD’s executive engineer, Atul Kumar, confirmed that the proposal has been sent to the Sports Department and will soon reach the state government for budget approval. Once funds are allocated, renovation work will begin, giving new life to the stadium.

Local players and sports enthusiasts have been advocating for this renovation for years. The upcoming improvements are expected to address structural issues, making the stadium safe for use once again, and helping to revitalize sports activities in the area.
