Delhi-Noida flyway on Friday evening witnessed traffic congestion and slow vehicle movement, visuals coming from news agency ANI showed. The city's temperature dropped a few notches on Friday after moderate to heavy rainfall during early hours of the day.

Heavy Rainfall: On Thursday morning, moderate-intensity rainfall led to flooding on the DND Flyway loop and other critical areas, including Mahamaya Flyover and Dalit Prerna Sthal. This resulted in traffic moving at a crawl, with reports of vehicles stuck in knee-deep water in some locations.

Waterlogging Issues:The Noida traffic police noted severe waterlogging in several sectors, particularly affecting the Dalit Prerna Sthal loop, which is a low-lying area prone to flooding. Commuters reported significant delays, with some stuck for hours as traffic personnel were deployed to manage congestion.

Response Measures: The Noida Authority has been proactive in addressing these issues by installing motor pumps at key junctions to drain water quickly. They also set up a helpline for residents to report waterlogging complaints, which has seen an increase in calls during the recent rains.

Forecast: The India Meteorological Department has indicated that light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue in the region, which could lead to further waterlogging and traffic disruptions.
Overall, while the rainfall provided some relief from the heat, it also highlighted ongoing challenges with drainage and traffic management in the area
