Baghpat 04 September (desk):-Residents of Tikri in Baghpat district staged a protest at the local sub-post office on Wednesday, expressing their frustration over the persistent server failures that have severely disrupted postal services. The protesters, including several local consumers, voiced their grievances against the malfunctioning systems that have been affecting the post office operations for several months. The protestors warned that if the issues are not resolved promptly, they would escalate their agitation by staging an indefinite sit-in.

The residents highlighted that the ongoing server issues have made it nearly impossible for them to access essential postal services, including the processing of Aadhaar card applications, which has been a longstanding demand in the community. Due to the lack of proper facilities at the local post office, people are forced to travel long distances to other towns to complete tasks that should be handled locally. This has caused significant inconvenience, particularly for elderly residents and those without easy access to transportation.

During the protest, local leaders including Shivkumar Rathi, Sushil, Anand Prakash, and others expressed their dissatisfaction with the post office management's response to the problems. They accused the authorities of negligence and demanded that the server issues be resolved immediately. The protesters also raised concerns about the non-functional Aadhaar card enrollment facility, which they have been requesting for a long time, but to no avail. The absence of this service has left many in the community without access to critical identification documents.

In response, the sub-postmaster Naresh Kumar acknowledged the challenges but clarified that the issues were not due to server problems but rather due to a malfunctioning printer, which has compounded the difficulties faced by the post office. Despite this, the residents remain adamant that more needs to be done to restore full functionality to the post office and ensure that essential services are available without further delay. The situation remains tense as residents await a satisfactory resolution to their demands.
