A Bombay college student drowned in the raging Ganga at Markandey Mahadev Ghat Kaithy

Varanasi. A young man who came to visit the famous Kaithi Markandeya Mahadev temple drowned in the raging Ganges. He was rescued by one of his companions. This painful accident happened due to slipping of feet while taking selfie on the ghat. The diving team is engaged in the search. The youth, who drowned in the Ganges, has been identified as Roshan Singh (22), a resident of Bihar. He lived in Goregaon, Mumbai. Recently, Jalalpur resident of Jaunpur came to the place of Anikesh Vishwakarma. On Monday morning, Roshan and Aniket along with two other companions reached the Markandeya Mahadev temple by car. It is said that Roshan started taking selfie with a friend at Ganga Ghat when his foot slipped. While trying to catch Roshan, his friend also fell into the raging Ganges and both of them drowned in deep water. The fishermen present on the spot took out one but Roshan Singh could not be traced. Police reached on information. Divers tried to search till Kaithi, Dhakwan, Chandravati Ghat but there was no trace of Roshan submerged in the Ganges. The Inspector-in-Charge has informed the people of NDRF. Due to the flood, the waves of the Ganges are strong. In such a situation, fishermen and divers are facing problems. Here, there is a furore among his friends who came with Roshan. Everyone's crying is bad. Roshan Singh was a student of B.Com in a college in Mumbai.
