Mirzapur 6 september:-(desk) Police have arrested two individuals from Gopalpura Mod on Thursday in connection with the theft of batteries from the Forest Department office store room in Madihan town two days ago. 24 stolen batteries were recovered from their possession.

On the night of September 2, after closing the Forest Department office, the in-charge clerk went to a room in the premises. When he arrived at the office on Tuesday morning, he found the door lock broken and items scattered around. 24 solar batteries had been stolen from the store room. The in-charge clerk, Hare Ram Shukla, filed a theft report at the Madihan police station.

Meanwhile, acting on a tip-off, the police recovered the stolen batteries loaded on a pickup truck near Gopalpur Mod and arrested two individuals: Sadanjan from Madiyahun, Jaunpur, and Manish from Gopalpur, Madihan. Station House Officer Pradeep Kumar Singh confirmed that the stolen batteries were recovered from the pickup, and the two suspects have been arrested and sent to jail.
