The entire family went for a picnic at Dadri Falls, where the beer bar operator tragically drowned in the water.

Mirzapur 1 september:-(desk) Anil's family from Varanasi went to Dadri Dam for a picnic. During their visit, they were swept away by the strong currents of the water. Their bodies were found 1.5 kilometers away. Since the incident, the family has been in a state of turmoil.

Aditya (25), a resident of Lahartara in Varanasi, reported that his father, Anil Rawat (55), went for a picnic at Dadri Dam on Saturday with his mother Kalavati, sister Sonali, Princi, and some relatives. Due to the opening of two gates at the dam, the water flow was strong. Everyone was bathing near the shore of the falls.

While bathing, Anil went towards the deeper water and was swept away by the strong current. After a short while, he was found and taken to Pathehra PHC by private means, where doctors declared him dead. Station Officer Dharmendra Kumar confirmed that Anil Rawat died due to drowning while bathing. Following his son's complaint, the body was taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.

Aditya recounted that upon seeing their father go into the deep water, the entire family, along with his mother Kalavati, shouted for him to stop, but he did not listen and continued further. Suddenly, he disappeared from everyone's sight. Seeing their father being swept away, their mother fainted in tears. The other relatives, witnessing her and both sisters fainting repeatedly, took them to Varanasi for medical assistance.
