The body of a young man who had been missing for five days was found by the pond

Mirzapur 6 september:-(desk) In Haliya, the body of a young man who had been missing for five days was found floating in a pond on Thursday morning, just 200 meters from his home in Ahugi Kala village. The young man's father claims that he may have been attacked by a crocodile while fishing in the pond, while his mother suspects that the circumstances of his death are suspicious.

Sandeep (25), son of Baijnath, a resident of Ahugi Kala village, left home on September 1 without informing his father. His family searched for him, and after failing to find him, his father filed a missing person report on September 4. Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, villagers discovered his body floating in the Pakka Hawa pond, about 200 meters from his home.

Upon identification, the family was notified. They recognized him by his clothes and physical features. The police, who arrived at the scene, sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Baijnath stated in his report that his son had gone to the pond to fish and was likely attacked by a crocodile. However, Sandeep's mother, Nirmala, and sister suspect foul play regarding his death.

The police registered a case based on Baijnath's report and sent the body for post-mortem. Station House Officer Virendra Singh mentioned that the body was found in the pond, and the cause of death will be determined through the post-mortem report.
