The portability scheme under the "One Nation One Ration Card" initiative is becoming beneficial for the public. The success of this scheme is evident as nearly 9,545 cardholders from other states are currently receiving grains in Mirzapur district, while around 6,000 individuals residing in other states are obtaining both employment and grains.

People no longer have to face difficulties in obtaining grains after leaving their homes. This has been made possible through the ration card portability scheme operated by the government’s supply department.

Before the implementation of the "One Nation One Ration Card" scheme, individuals had to transfer their ration cards when moving to or from another state, often requiring them to visit the supply department multiple times. Now, they can simply provide their thumb impression to receive free grains starting from the same month.

Any individual from anywhere in the country can obtain grains by providing their thumb impression at a fair price shop.
