• SHE WAS PREVIOUSLY FOUND INVOLVED IN 05 CRIMINAL CASES OF EXCISE ACT REGISTERED IN POLICE STATIONS CIVIL LINES AND BURARI, DELHI.

BRIEF FACTS:
As per the directions of senior officers in view of complaints received from local residents regarding selling of drugs in the area, a special team of PP Majnu Ka Tilla, PS Civil Lines, Delhi was formed under the leadership of SI Vineet Kumar (In-Charge PP Majnu Ka Tilla)* comprising of ASI Yashpal Singh, HC Pradeep Dagar, Ct Sanjeet & W/Ct Sonika under the close supervision of Inspr. Ajay Kumar, SHO/PS Civil Lines Delhi and guidance of Shri Satender Yadav, ACP/Civil Lines Delhi. The team started developing information about drug sellers in the area.
On 17.08.2022, the above said police team was on patrolling in the area of Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla. At about 11:15 PM, they reached near Jhuggi 56 Pahari, Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka tilla. The police team noticed a woman coming in a suspicious manner from the side of new construction site of Parsvnath Flats towards A-Block Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi carrying black polythene in her right hand. After noticing the Police party, she tried to run away from the spot but the alert patrolling staff instantly swung into action and she was overpowered after a brief chase.
On searching the polythene carried by her, a total 1250 grams of Ganja was recovered. The accused was identified as Sunita @ Sunni w/o Lt. Rajesh, age 46-years. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 370/22 dated 18.08.22 u/s 20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Civil Lines, Delhi and investigation was taken up.
INTERROGATION :- During interrogation, the accused namely Sunita @ Sunni w/o Lt. Rajesh, age-46 years disclosed that she had bought the recovered ganja from an unknown lady at Jhuggi Railway Phatak, Kela Godown, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi after paying Rs 10,000/- per Kilogram. The accused person disclosed that she has been involved in such type of illegal activity since last few months. Further, she makes small polythene packets of the contraband ganja and sells the same in local areas at the rate of Rs. 50/- as well as Rs. 100/- as per quantity of packets to make easy profit.
She is a widow, illiterate and unemployed. She has three young boys who are also not doing any work. She is a BC of PS Civil Lines and previously found involved in 05 criminal cases of Excise Act registered in Police Stations Civil Lines and Burari. After selling illicit liquor, the income was not sufficient to meet her daily needs and so she started such types of illegal activities to earn easy money.
DETAIL OF ACCUSED:- Sunita @ Sunni,* w/o Lt. Rajesh r/o Aruna Nagar, Majnu Ka Tilla, Delhi, age-46 years (She was previously found involved in 05 criminal cases of Excise Act registered in Police Stations Civil Lines and Burari.
