The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday accepted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's request to defer his questioning in a case linked to alleged corruption in the scrapped liquor sales policy. After Manish Sisodia claimed that he could have been arrested today, AAP MLA and spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj told India Today that Sisodia's arrest would have delayed big projects in the national capital.

Reacting to the developments, Saurabh Bharadwaj told India Today, "The CBI will call Manish Sisodia next week but the date for fresh summon has not been communicated yet. The exemption request of Manish Sisodia has been accepted by the federal agency."
