Arijit Singh opens up on Gerua row for the 1st time, says 'so much controversy over a colour'

Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua instantly became a trend when Shah Rukh Khan said this in Dilwale. But, when SRK's co-star Deepika Padukone wore a gerua outfit in Pathaan's song Besharam Rang, it courted controversy. At Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) 2022, Arijit Singh sang a line from the song Gerua in the presence of Mamata Banerjee. Days later, news emerged that Arijit Singh's concert, which was scheduled to be held on February 18, was cancelled after police denied permission. This set off a political slugfest between the opposition BJP and ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). Arijit Singh has now reacted to the row for the first time while performing at the Kolkata concert on February 18.
