Discussion on Afghanistan held in BRICS

After the meeting, it was also announced that the countries involved in the BRICS believe that the territory of Afghanistan should not be used for attacks on other countries. Neither its land should be used for sheltering the extremists nor for training them.

At the same time, the BRICS countries said that they support talks between the two countries to end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

In the 14th session of BRICS held virtually, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that BRICS member countries account for a quarter of the world's economy and their role in the global supply chain is very important.

AaAt the same time, he said that the challenges facing us in reducing poverty, agriculture, energy and other sectors should be faced by the member countries together and for this the system of industry and supply chain should be improved.

Referring to the western countries, he said that countries which want monopoly in the world and impose different types of restrictions to hinder the innovation and development of other countries, create obstacles, they will face failure.

Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "We BRICS member countries have a very similar approach to the governance of the global economy, so our mutual cooperation can make a useful contribution to the global post-Covid recovery."

Apart from Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also attended the meeting.
