Dr. Amit Katakwal, an eye specialist at the hospital, reported that most patients are experiencing symptoms like redness, itching, swelling, and watery eyes. He explained that the current humid conditions following the rainy season have contributed to the spread of infections, especially among children.

Doctors are advising patients to wash their eyes multiple times a day and avoid touching or rubbing their eyes. They also recommend maintaining hygiene by not sharing handkerchiefs or eye drops with others to prevent the infection from spreading within families.

To further prevent infections, the hospital is suggesting that people minimize screen time on computers and mobile phones. Those who are already infected should wear protective glasses when going outside and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms worsen.
