My photography today is about Gourd plant. of the hard-shelled fruits of certain members of the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae. Many gourds are cultivated as ornamentals, decorations, or food crops, and some can be dried and used to make decorative or useful objects.Most gourds are native to tropical or warm temperate climates. They require a long growing season to mature and are killed by frost. Most species are fast-growing prostrate or climbing vines, often with spirally coiled tendrils. Most species have unisexual flowers that are borne in the leaf axils and have five white or yellow petals. Known as a pepo, the gourd fruit is a fleshy many-seeded berry with a tough rind, often attaining considerable size. . I took the opportunity and took the photos.
