The youth who performed stunts and jumped into the Ganga has been arrested.

Ghazipur 2 september:-(desk) In Ghazipur, the RPF arrested a youth on Sunday who jumped into the Ganga while performing stunts from the rail-cum-road bridge built over the river.

A video had been going viral on social media for a few days. In the video, a young man climbs onto the rail-cum-road bridge over the Ganga. He then walks around on the bridge and, upon reaching the middle between the Ghazipur Ghat and Tadhighat railway station, he descends. He grabs a pipe on the lower part of the bridge and exercises for a while. After that, laughing, he lets go of the pipe and jumps into the Ganga with both hands raised. He then swims back to the shore. This dangerous and life-threatening stunt was widely circulated on social media.

The RPF took cognizance of this incident. Following this, under the direction of RPF in-charge Amit Rai, Sub-Inspector Kamlesh Singh, Head Constable Krishna Gopal Shukla, and Ajit Singh went to the rail-cum-road bridge to investigate. During this time, they received information that the accused youth, Daya Chaudhary alias Shekha (22), who works in a salon, was located there. Upon receiving the information, the RPF team raided the salon in Yuvrajpur and arrested Daya on the spot.

During interrogation, he revealed that he made reels by performing dangerous stunts. He uploaded these reels on various social media platforms like Instagram to gain fame. RPF in-charge Amit Rai confirmed that the youth who performed the dangerous stunt and jumped into the Ganga from the rail-cum-road bridge has been arrested.
