Reward Carrying Naxal Slained in Encounter with Security Forces

In an encounter that broke between the DRG personnel and the Naxalites in Katekalyan Police station area on the intervening nights of Modnay and Teusday , a Naxal carrying a reward of Rs 5 was slained, an official said on Teusday.

The deceased identified as Budhram Markam, a member of the Katekalyan Area committe of maoists was wanted to 15 criminal cases, officers added.
The encounter that took place in a forest surrounding Jabrametta under Katekalyan police station limits, claimed the life of one Naxal when one amongst them targetted a security personnel who were then on a search operation provoking the security officers to retaliate, said Dantewada SP Siddharth Tiwari on being questioned about the operations.
