Ghazipur: The continuous rise in the water level of the Ganges is making the residents sleepless along with the administration. Due to the release of lakhs of cusecs of water from many dams, there is a possibility of flooding in the Ganges, due to which the district administration is in alert mode. Due to release of 18,31,587 cusecs from Dholpur Dam and 384,954 cusecs of water from Mata Tala Dam on 23rd August, the water level of river Ganga is increasing rapidly. In view of the rising water level in the river Ganga, the district administration has come under full alert mode. In this regard, the District Magistrate has made the sensitive and vulnerable flood posts functional and directed the employees of the Revenue Department and other departments to be alert. Ganga is once again becoming a cause of panic for the villagers of all the villages of Ghazipur. The warning point has been crossed in Ghazipur.
