Ganesh Mahotsav Celebrations Continue with Lamboodar Puja in Baghpat

Baghpat 11 September (desk):-Baghpat – The Ganesh Mahotsav celebrations continued in full swing across Baghpat on Tuesday, with devotees performing the Lamboodar Puja in honor of Lord Ganesha. The worship, dedicated to the deity's form symbolizing abundance and prosperity, saw enthusiastic participation from local residents. After the puja, aarti was performed, and devotees were offered prasad at various pandals in the city.

At the main pandal in Bada Bazaar, priests Subodh Shastri and Sunil Joshi led the rituals, explaining the significance of the Lamboodar form, which represents Lord Ganesha’s large belly. It is believed that worshipping this form brings happiness and prosperity to families. Sujeet Lakhhera and his wife, Sonia Lakhhera, served as the chief patrons for the ceremony, while many other prominent residents participated in the celebrations.

In addition to the puja, several events took place across the district. At the Shiv Bhoomiya Temple on Sisana Road, Acharya Ananddev led the rituals, followed by an aarti and prasad distribution. In Chaprauli’s Ganj Mandi, devotees gathered for a special puja where Lord Ganesha was offered laddoos as a traditional sweet offering. The event was attended by local figures like Kapil, Lucky, Rajan, and Jitendra.

Meanwhile, in Agrwal Mandi Tatiri, the Shri Ganesh Seva Committee organized a grand procession after the puja. Devotees participated in bhajans and kirtans, singing praises of Lord Ganesha throughout the day. The committee leaders, including Mukesh Garg, Ankush Goyal, and Praveen Goyal, expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation in the ongoing Mahotsav celebrations.
