Ghazipur 19 September: (Desk)The Ganga River has begun to recede, providing a glimmer of hope for the flood-affected regions in Ghazipur. The water level is currently decreasing at a rate of 1 cm per hour, which, while slow, marks a significant shift from the previous days of rising waters. Despite this positive trend, the aftermath of the flooding continues to pose challenges for local communities.

In response to the ongoing flood situation, authorities have closed ten schools in the Revati Pur area as a precautionary measure. This closure has disrupted the education of many children in the affected regions. To facilitate transportation for residents in flood-hit villages, two boats have been deployed in each of these areas, enabling some degree of mobility amidst the flooding.

While relief efforts are underway, many families remain displaced and are relying on temporary shelters. The administration has established relief camps to provide food and essential supplies to those affected. However, the lingering water levels and continued challenges from flooding mean that full recovery will take time.

Local officials are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating relief efforts to ensure that affected communities receive the necessary support during this difficult period.
