DESPERATE AUTO LIFTER ARRESTED BY THE STAFF OF P.S- TIGRI.

The staff of PS Tigri, South District has done commendable work by arresting a desperate auto-lifter namely Rahul @ Rakesh in case e- FIR No.037880/22 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Tigri. Upon his instance, 05 stolen motorcycles were recovered and 05 cases of M.V. Theft were worked out.
BRIEFING OF THE STAFF:-
To curb the incidents of auto theft in South District area, the staff was specifically tasked to keep vigil on the activities of the criminals involved in auto-thefts. Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence. Consequently, the patrolling was intensified at the vulnerable areas at different time slots of day and night for prevention and detection in the area.
INCIDENTS, TEAM & ARREST:-
A team comprising of Inspr. Sumit Kumar, SI Rakesh Kumar, ASI Jaswant, HC Krishan, HC Pawan, HC Radha Krishna, HC Devander, HC Gajanand, HC Rajendra, HC Ravinder, Ct. Lakhan Singh led by SHO/Tigri under overall supervision of ACP/Sangam Vihar was formed.
The team was briefed about the ramification of the registered MV Theft cases and directed to work in tandem on different aspects of the cases. The team collected hundreds of the CCTV footage of previous cases and thoroughly analysed it. Local sources were deployed and human intelligence were collected. The details of the criminals involved in the cases of auto theft were collected. Sincere efforts of the team bore fruits when on 28/09/2022, secret information was received that a person would come at C Block, Sangam Vihar on a stolen motorcycle. Immediately, a trap was laid at and around the place. After a while, a person was noticed coming on a motorcycle without helmet. On pointing out of the informer, he was signaled to stop but sensing the police presence, he tried to flee away from the spot. However, the vigilant staff successfully intercepted and overpowered him. Later on, he was identified as Rahul @ Rakesh. He was asked to show the documents of the motorcycle but he kept misleading the police staff by stating wrong facts. On enquiry, the motorcycle was found to be stolen in case e-FIR No. 037880/22 u/s 379/411 IPC PS Tigri. Hence, he was arrested and motorcycle was seized. During interrogation, the accused Rahul @ Rakesh broke out and disclosed that he was active in and around the adjoining areas since last few days and committed several thefts. Further, on his instance, 04 more stolen motorcycles were also recovered.

Rahul @ Rakesh S/o Samay Singh R/o Sangam Vihar, Delhi. Age 35 year. He is addicted to drug and previously found to be involved in 06 following cases:-
