New labour laws allow for 4-day work week, increased PF contribution

Centre seeks to implement new labour laws from July 1, but several states are yet to ratify regulations, which is a must before implementation. Under the new laws, companies can increase timings to 12 hours with three weekly offs. The basic salary will be at least 50% of gross monthly salary which will
increase PF contribution but reduce in-hand salary.
