Due to the closure of Ganga Nahar from Haridwar in Uttarakhand, not only the people of Ghaziabad but also the people of Gautam Budh Nagar and Delhi will face water shortage. For about a month, lakhs of people of three cities will have to face the problem of Gangajal.

Gangajal will be available only for 1 time
The people of Ghaziabad will get Gangajal at the same time on Thursday. Noida, Trans Hindon and Siddharth Vihar will completely stop getting Ganga water from October 6. Ganganahar water was stopped from Haridwar on Tuesday night. In Ghaziabad, water will be supplied from tube wells by the Municipal Corporation from October 6. On Diwali, people will again have to face water scarcity.
Let us tell here that every year water is stopped from Haridwar for cleaning Ganga Nahar. The Irrigation Department has given the official information about stopping the water to the Jal Nigam. Ganganahar will remain closed for 20 days. After releasing water from Haridwar, water will come to Ghaziabad on 26 October. The water was stocked after the Gangnahar was closed, which can only last till Thursday.
