Accused Irfan S/o Barkat Ali R/o C-288, J. J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, Age-23Yrs NS (2) Rahul S/o Roop Lal Prasad R/o D-1725, J. J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, Age-23Yrs , a team of PS Prashant Vihar has succeeded in nabbing two desperate criminals who were engaged in snatching and theft cases in Prashant Vihar area. One stolen Bike, one country made pistol with two live cartridges and 10 stolen mobiles were recovered from his possession.

Colony, Bawana, Delhi, Age-23Yrs , a team of PS Prashant Vihar has succeeded in nabbing two desperate criminals who were engaged in snatching and theft cases in Prashant Vihar area. One stolen Bike, one country made pistol with two live cartridges and 10 stolen mobiles were recovered from his possession.

INCIDENT, TEAM & ARREST:

Recently some snatching incidents suddenly surged in the area of PS Prashant Vihar and three incident of snatching reported in a short span in the area . In view of the above, a special team in the Supervision of ACP Prashant Vihar Ms Arti Sharma and in leadership of SHO Prashant Vihar INSP Rajeev Vats comprising SI Gagandeep, PSI Ajeet Singh HC Suresh, HC Parambir and HC Hemant was constituted for collecting the information about the snatchers involved and to nab them. The so formed team checked more than 50 CCTV cameras footage and developed the human intelligence. Secret informers also were mounted to provide the clue about the culprits. Two suspects were zeroed in and the photos of the culprits were circulated among all beat staff.
On 24/08/2022, a secret information was received regarding these snatchers who are coming in Sector-10, Rohini for committing the snatching. A trap was laid in Sector-10 Rohini to nab the culprits. The police team saw two persons on motorcycle without helmet approaching them from opposite side. They were signaled to stop the motorcycle, but the motorcycle rider accelerated and tried to flee away to escape the police team. The alert police party swung into action and swiftly chased them down, eventually both the suspected persons lost their balance and fell down at some distance. Both the suspects were caught who were later identified as Rahul S/o Roop Lal Prasad R/o D-1725, J. J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, Age-23Yrs (pillion rider) and Irfan S/o Barkat Ali R/o C-288, J. J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi, Age-23 Years (rider). On the cursory search a country made katta along with two live cartridges and two stolen mobile phone were recovered from their possession. Further, on checking the motorcycle no. DL 10AB 8011 it was found to be stolen from PS Bhalswa Diary. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 509/2022 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act and 102 CrPC was registered and the accused were arrested in the case. During the sustain interrogation, the accused disclosed their involvement in other cases of snatching and at their instance, 01 Samsung A52 mobile snatched on 19-08-22 from Bhagwati Hospital, 01 one plus 6T mobile snatched on 19-08-22 from Prashant Vihar and 06 other stolen phones which are being ascertained were recovered in the follow-up investigation.
