SENSATIONAL BLIND DAYLIGHT ROBBERY IN JEWELLERY SHOP, KOHAT ENCLAVE, PITAMPURA, SOLVED BY SPECIAL STAFF/NORTH-WEST DISTRICT.*

ACCUSED IS A DESPERATE ROBBER, PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN A BANK ROBBERY CASE OF PS PRASHANT VIHAR.

07 ROBBED GOLD NECK CHAINS RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION.

HE HAS MORTGAGED ANOTHER ROBBED GOLD NECK CHAIN WEIGHING 76 GRAMS IN MUTHOOT FINANCE AFTER THE INCIDENT AND TAKEN LOAN OF RS. 2,60,000/-.

HE HAS LOST RS. 1,50,000/- IN ONLINE GAMBLING AT SATSPORT.COM

REMAINING AMOUNT 90,000/-, CLOTHES AND SHOES WORN BY HIM AND THE TOY PISTOL USED BY HIM DURING THE ROBBERY HAS ALSO BEEN RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION.

ALMOST ENTIRE RECOVERY HAS BEEN EFFECTED FROM POSSESSION OF ARRESTED ACCUSED PERSON.

With arrest of a desperate robber namely, Rinku Jindal s/o Bijender Jindal r/o Ambedkar Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi aged 36 years, Special Staff of North-West District has solved sensational daylight robbery in a Jewellery Shop “Carats and Gold 365”, Kohat Enclave, Pitampura, Delhi. 07 robbed gold neck chains have been recovered from his possession. He has mortgaged another robbed gold neck chain weighing 76 Grams in Muthoot Finance and taken loan of Rs. 2,60,000/- after the incident. He has lost Rs. 1,50,000/- in online gambling at SATSPORT.COM, spent Rs. 20,000/- in his daily needs and remaining amount Rs. 90,000/- has been recovered from his possession. The clothes and shoes worn by him and the toy pistol used during the incident haveeee also been recovered. Accused Rinku Jindal is previously involved in a Bank Robbery case vide FIR No. 58/2019 dated 02.03.2019 u/s 393/398 IPC PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi.

Incident:-
On 13.08.2022, at about 1 PM, when owner Anurag Garg r/o Naveen Appartment, Pitampura, Delhi and his servant Chhotelal were present in their Jewellery Shop “Carats and Gold 365”, in Kohat Enclave Market, Pitampura, one person who had covered his face with a handkerchief, entered into the Jewellery Shop and robbed 9-10 gold neck chains and Rs. 20,000/- at gun point and fled from the spot.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 930/2022 dated 13.08.2022 u/s 392/397 IPC PS Subhash Place was registered in this regard and investigation was taken up.

Investigation and Team:-
Since it was a sensational blind daylight robbery in a Jewellery Shop in a very busy market, Kohat Enclave, Pitampura just adjacent to the Kohat Enclave Metro Station by a person alone who had completely masked his face, a team of Special Staff led by Inspr. Amit Kumat, I/C Special Staff comprising of Inspr. Vijender Nagar, HC Narsi Ram, HC Manjeet, HC Indraj, HC Bholu, HC Somveer and Ct. Ankush was tasked to solve this case at the earliest in supervision of Sh. Satish Kumar, ACP/Ops and overall supervision of the undersigned.

The team of Special Staff started analysing footage of CCTVs installed inside the jewellery shop and around the place of incident in which one masked person was seen entering the shop carrying a plastic bag and he committed robbery at a gun point and fled from the spot. He was seen running alone towards Madhuban Chowk by crossing the road and took an e-rickshaw. The team followed him upto Prashant Vihar, Outer Ring Road through CCTVs installed at the route, but he disappeared at Ring Road near Santom Hospital. Then the team started finding e-rickshaw taken by him seen in the footage through random checks in Pitampura & at Ring Road and traced the e-rickshaw after a massive hunt. Driver of the e-rickshaw was examined who stated that the accused took his e-rickshaw from Pitampura to Mukarba Chowk, Outer Ring Road but suddenly near Santom Hospital, he got down at mid of the road and disappeared in traffic. He couldn't be seen in any CCTV installed along the Ring Road. Then the team started working through the footage of accused in CCTV of shop of the complainant and found that he was taking a plastic bag in his left hand and a pistol in his right hand. Something was written on the plastic bag. Through different footages, somehow, the team found pcmuniforms.com was written on the plastic bag carried by him. Through Google, office of pcmuniforms.com was found in Saket, Delhi. The team reached Saket and found that one store of pcmuniforms.com is in Pitampura. In Pitampura store of pcmuniforms, it was found that they are in job of making uniforms of schools and they are supplying uniforms in two private schools- one at Shalimar Bagh and another at Nangli Poona, GT Road, Delhi (Name of schools not disclosed). Officials of pcmuniforms identified the bag carrying by accused in CCTV and stated that they are supplying school uniforms in the same bag. Then the team started working in the surrounding areas of both schools through local intelligence to find any suspect residing in this area with maximum possibility is that his children might be student of these schools. Sources were deployed and after dedicated painstaking efforts of the team for continuous 6-7 days, one Rinku Jindal r/o Ambedkar Nagar, Shalimar Bagh was suspected. His children are studying in the same school of Shalimar Bagh. His dossier was checked and found that he was arrested previously on 2nd March, 2019, when he entered in a Bank at Prashant Vihar for robbery with same modus operandi alone taking a toy pistol in his hand but he was apprehended by bank staff and customers. He got released from jail on bail on 30th Dec. 2019. It was also found through informers that Rinku Jindal has no source of income but these days, he is playing online gambling.

Now, the team found Rinku Jindal as prime suspect of this robbery and started efforts to apprehend him at the earliest. Working relentlessly, on 25.08.2022 at about 3 pm, suspect Rinku Jindal s/o Bijender Jindal r/o Ambedkar Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi aged 36 years was apprehended by team of Special Staff from Haiderpur, Shalimar Bagh through local intelligence as well as technical surveillance.

Interrogation:-
During sustained interrogation, accused Rinku Jindal disclosed his involvement in this case. He further disclosed that he has no earnings. He has his old parents, wife and two children in his family. He was also indulged in online gambling. For want of huge money, he planned to commit robbery in any jewellery shop. On 13.08.2022, at 11 AM, he reached Madhuban Chowk by bus and then Kohat Enclave market by e-rickshaw. He roamed in the market for almost 2 hours in search of his target and at about 1 PM, he decided to commit this robbery in Carats and Gold 365, jewellery shop. He was having a toy pistol. He entered in the shop and intimidated the persons present in the shop by showing the toy pistol, robbed gold chains and fled from the spot. He crossed the road and ran towards Madhuban Chowk. Enroute, he took an e-rickshaw for Mukarba Chowk, Outer Ring Road but he got down in between near Santom Hospital and then reached Haiderpur by walking through the metro pillars amid the traffic to save himself from eyes of CCTVs.

Further, 07 robbed gold neck chains have been recovered from his possession. He has mortgaged one robbed gold neck chain weighing 76 Grams in Muthoot Finance and taken loan of Rs. 2,60,000/- after the incident. He has lost Rs. 1,50,000/- in online gambling at SATSPORT.COM, spent Rs. 20,000/- in his daily needs and remaining amount Rs. 90,000/- has also been recovered from his possession. The clothes and shoes worn by him and the toy pistol used during the incident has also been recovered. Almost entire recovery has been effected by Special Staff team from his possession.

Profile of accused person:-
Rinku Jindal s/o Bijender Jindal r/o Ambedkar Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi aged 36 years, studied upto 10th class, unemployed, having old age parents, wife and two children in his family, studying in a private school at Shalimar Bagh.

He is previously involved in a Bank Robbery case vide FIR No. 58/2019 dated 02.03.2019 u/s 393/398 IPC PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi.

Recovery:-
 07 robbed gold neck chains (another robbed gold neck chain weighing 76 grams has been mortgaged by accused in Muthoot Finance and taken loan of Rs. 2,60,000/- out of which Rs. 1,50,000/- lost by him in online gambling at SATSPORT.COM)

 Remaining amount 90,000/-, Clothes and Shoes worn and the toy pistol used by accused during the incident.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
