THE ALERT STAFF OF PS NIHAL VIHAR RECOVERED 170 BUNDLES OF ILLEGAL CHINESE MANJHA WITH THE ARREST OF 01 PERSON

The alert Beat Staff of Police Station Nihal Vihar, Outer District has arrested 01 accused namely Ashok Kumar S/o Mahavir R/o A-81, Gali No. 4, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, age-48 years alongwith the recovery of 170 bundles of Illegal Chinese Manjha.

BRIEF OF THE INCIDENT & ARREST

In view of incidents of accidents & deaths by illegal Manjha, strict directions have been passed by DCP/OD to take strict action against selling of illegal Manjha.

On 14.08.2022, following the directions, the beat staff of PS Nihal Vihar, HC Anil and Ct. Rakesh were present in the beat area for patrolling, at about 04:00 pm when they reached in front of A-81, Gali No. 4, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, they noticed illegal Chinese manjha kept in a shop. On enquiry the details of shopkeeper were found to be Ashok Kumar S/o Mahavir R/o A-81, Gali No. 4, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, age-48 years. During search, a total of 170 bundles of illegal Chinese Manjha (Mono kite) were recovered from his shop.

Hence, a case vide FIR No. 913/2022, U/s 188 IPC & 7/15 Environment Protection Act was registered in PS Nihal Vihar and the above accused person was arrested.

INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he runs a tea shop and in greed of earning money he deals in selling of illegal Chinese Manjha in the area of Nihal Vihar area.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

Ashok Kumar S/o Mahavir R/o A-81, Gali No. 4, Shiv Ram Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, age-48 years. He belongs to a poor family.

RECOVERY

• 170 bundles of Chinese Manjha.
