Active Cases Drop to 1,31,807

New Delhi: India recorded 12,751 fresh infections in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate at 98.51 per cent accounted for 16,412 recuperations in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 4,35,16,071.

The daily positivity rate stood at 3.50 per cent. The number of active cases stood at 1,31,807 accounting for 0.30 per cent of the total number of cases. The active cases reported a drop of 6,792 in the last 24 hours.

However, the mortality rate stood at 1.19 per cent recorded 42 fatalities taking the cumulative death toll to 5,26,772. The fresh fatalities include six from Delhi, five from West Bengal, four from Maharashtra, three each from Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, two each from Gujarat, Haryana and Rajasthan,10 reconciled by Kerala and one each from Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Odisha, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.

With the administration of 31,95,034 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 206.88 crore according to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
