Negligence in Funeral Site Construction in Pilana Village, Baghpat: Notices Issued

Baghpat 07 September (desk):-In Baghpat’s Pilana village, District Panchayati Raj Officer (DPRO) Arun Kumar Atri has issued notices over negligence in the construction of a funeral site. The official highlighted several irregularities, including improper construction of toilets, use of substandard bricks for the wood store, low height of the toilets, and poor-quality doors. Notices have been issued to Village Development Officer Rahul Kumar, village head Sanjay Tyagi, Assistant Development Officer Rashid Ahmed, and engineer Ajit Kumar, demanding responses within 15 days.

DPRO Arun Kumar warned of strict action if the explanations were unsatisfactory. He mentioned the possibility of suspending the ADO and VDO, terminating the services of the engineer, and sealing the powers of the village head. The officials have been given a deadline to rectify the issues and explain the discrepancies in the construction work.

In another development, the District Supply Officer, Anoop Tiwari, announced that the distribution of ration will commence from September 7 and continue until September 25. Ration will be distributed between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., ensuring that all eligible residents receive their due supplies during this period.

The village faces growing scrutiny as officials work to address the construction flaws at the funeral site, with strict deadlines in place. The community, awaiting accountability for these lapses, hopes that swift action will be taken against those responsible for the mismanagement.
