In Durganganj, traders became upset during the construction of the Varanasi-Bhadohi via Machhlishahr Highway 731B when they were informed that 10 meters would be included on both sides of the road. Villagers expressed concerns that this would completely devastate the market. However, the construction agency reassured them that only 9 meters would be included on both sides, which calmed the villagers.

Construction of the Varanasi-Bhadohi via Machhlishahr Highway 731B is progressing rapidly in the district, with widening and drainage construction taking place in various markets. Meanwhile, workers at Durganganj market mentioned that 10 meters would be included on both sides of the highway. Upon hearing this, traders became agitated, arguing that if 10 meters were included on both sides, the entire market would be destroyed, and their shops would be affected. They immediately halted the construction work.

The chief supervisor of the construction agency, Anil Rai, learned about the work stoppage and arrived at the scene. He explained to the traders that only 9 meters would be included on both sides of the highway. After this clarification, the traders calmed down. Anil Rai instructed the workers to expedite the drainage construction.
