Sh Sham Kapoor, Commandant BSF recently promoted to the rank of DIG and posted to Command Headquarters

Officer served Rajasthan for long tenure,s and twice at Barmer district. During his stay at Border district Barmer and Jaiselmer various welfare programs for students and border population were initiated which helped the poor and needy persons. He also organised many sports events and extended support of BSF during Tourism events organised by District Administration such as Reddana motorcycle rallies, run for unity, half marathon and other various tourism events. During his stay at Barmer, large number of medical camps were organised for Border population. He is a well known and widely acquainted officer by civil population. General public is happy on his promotion to the rank of "Deputy Inspector General" and extends their gratitude.
