Anti-social elements tried to disturb communal harmony by vandalizing tombs at four different places in Sherkot police station area of ​​Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening. Police arrested two accused involved in the incident.

Superintendent of Police (Bijnor) Dinesh Singh said that PRV information was received on Sunday evening. A tomb located near Qutub Shah police station under Sherkot police station area, Jalal Shah in Harewali, Bhure Shah tomb of Ghosiyawala village and another tomb was vandalized. The sheet lying on the tomb was also burnt. The SP said that the police arrested the accused Mohammad Kamal and Mohammad Adil, who were wearing saffron colored clothes. Police is interrogating both the accused.

ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar told that a big communal conspiracy has been stopped in Sherkot. Two accused have been arrested for vandalizing religious places. Field officers have been instructed to be more vigilant and monitoring of social media is also going on continuously.
