Development Authority freed possession of 8 crore land after 32 years, illegal houses and shops were built

Agra. Agra Development Authority on Thursday freed possession of 3800 square meters of land worth Rs 8 crore under Jawahar Puram Yojna after 32 years. In the presence of police and administration, illegal constructions were demolished by bulldozers. Houses and shops were built illegally by occupying the vacant land of ADA.
In the year 1988, ADA had acquired land to develop the Jawahar Puram Yojana. Khasra numbers 168 and 169 had more than 20 thousand square meters of land. Which was occupied by the ADA in the papers.
After taking possession in the papers, the officers of the Development Authority remained blind. On the other hand, illegal construction, houses and shops were built on 3800 square meters of vacant land. ADA had already sold the rest of the land by making commercial and residential plots.
Vichit Gaur, vice-chairman of the Development Authority, received a complaint about possession of ADA land. After which he ordered the secretary to free the possession of government land with the help of police and administration.
Under the leadership of Additional Municipal Magistrate III Deepak Pal, ADA Executive Engineer DS Bhadauria, Brijesh Kumar, AE Bijendra Kumar, UN Pandey, DS Bansla reached Jawahar Puram with police force of police station Jagdishpura to remove illegal occupation from ADA land on Thursday.
The illegal encroachments on the land were demolished with a bulldozer. Questions are also being raised on the role of engineers and field personnel in illegal occupation of ADA land.
ADA vice-president Chachit Gaur says that a case will be registered against those who occupy ADA land. Based on the circle rate of the land, the value has been estimated to be around Rs.8 crore.
