Yami Gautam reveals she 'choked' on the last day of A Thursday, says 'it was hard' to play Naina | Exclusive

Yami Gautam had a fantastic start to this year due to the success of her two films - A Thursday and Dasvi. Both the films were released on different OTT platforms and were received well by the masses. While Yami is currently enjoying a vacation with her husband Aditya Dhar, the actress took some time out and exclusively interacted with IndiaToday.in.

In an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, the actress spoke about the challenges she faced playing Naina Jaiswal in A Thursday. For those unaware, the actress' film is all set for a world TV premiere on Star Gold on July 24, at 12 noon.

Speaking with IndiaToday.in, Yami Gautam admitted that it was hard to play Naina Jaiswal in the film. The actress said, "Of course it is a thriller, apart from the way the character is initially projected - the way Naina is or the way she is behaving and demanding, her attitude and all those eccentricities. But at the heart of it, you know what the subject was and I think that is what is really heartbreaking when you connect fiction with reality."

The actress further revealed that she just choked on the last day of her film's shoot. "As an actor, you are preparing for a role, you are marking all the nuances. While it was spontaneous, in my mind, we were prepared for how we wanted to shoot this film. You know the film and you know eventually what the film will come down to in those last 15 minutes of the film. It was really hard for me. It was so hard that I remember, on the last day, I just choked. I just said thank you and I didn't hold it in my hands and I said it was really difficult," added Yami.
