Called wife for triple talaq for not getting bike in dowry

Ghaziabad. A woman living in Kaila kiln area was called and given triple talaq by her husband for not getting a bike in dowry. It is alleged that the in-laws harassed her for not fulfilling the demand for dowry. The woman has filed a report against five people including her husband. The woman, a resident of Kaila Bhatta, says that she was married in December 2017 to Imran Saifi of Niwari. Since the marriage, the in-laws are harassing her physically and mentally for not getting the bike in dowry. When the in-laws complained to the police, the in-laws made a compromise. After some time the husband went for a week on the pretext of work in a company in Rajasthan and left her in the maternal house. It is alleged that during this time her in-laws made her jewelry and other items missing and the husband called her and disconnected the phone call by giving her triple talaq. Nagar Kotwali in-charge Amit Kumar Khari says that a report has been registered on the basis of Tahrir.
