Dharmendra reacts to Javed Akhtar claiming that he refused to do Zanjeer which later went to Amitabh Bachchan

On Bachchan’s 80th birthday, Javed, claimed that Dharmendra and others refused the role as "its hero he was supposed to be a grim, serious, bitter person throughout the film." Reacting to the statement, Dharmendra replied to the article on Twitter and wrote, “Javed, kaise ho… dikhave ki iss duniya mein haqeeqaten dabi rah jaati hain. Jeetey raho… Dilon ko gudgudana khoob aata hai… kaash sar chad ke bolne ka jaadu bhi sekh liya hota.”
