School Principal Arrested for Molesting 2 Girl Students

An official reported on Monday that police had detained the 45-year-old principal of a private school in the Surajpur district, Chhattisgarh for allegedly molesting two girl students.

According to Kotwali Station House Inspector Prakash Rathore, the two students, who are in Classes 5 and 7, told their parents this past week that the principal allegedly assaulted them in his office chamber. The principal was arrested on Saturday after the parents filed a complaint, Prakash Rathore said.
According to the official, the accused has been arrested under pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The owner has also complained that he was attacked by the students parents shortly after the complaint was filed.
