Baghpat 26 August (desk):-In a recent development in Brahmanputthi village, a case of attempted murder has been registered against seven individuals following an altercation involving the local village head, Rajeev. The conflict started when Rajeev’s brother, Jaiveer, was attacked by a group of people after the village authorities removed encroachments from a main road, funded by the MLA’s development fund. This action led to a heated argument, during which Jaiveer was reportedly assaulted. Subsequently, on July 3, Rajeev's son, Anshul, and his cousin, Aditya, were attacked by Mahesh and six other individuals armed with sticks and possibly firearms. The assault left Anshul and Aditya severely injured.

The incident has further complicated an ongoing legal battle between the village head’s family and the accused. A prior case had already been filed against the village head's side, leading to several arrests. The police, acting on the court’s orders, have now registered a new case against Mahesh, Sachin, Ravi, Dev, Rahul, Nikhil, and Jatin for their involvement in the recent violent episode. The investigation is focused on establishing the exact nature of the attacks and determining the legal consequences for the accused.

Authorities are actively working to resolve the situation and ensure justice is served. The local police are collecting evidence and witness statements to build a comprehensive case against the accused. The outcome of this investigation will be crucial in addressing the violence and restoring order in the village. The case highlights the ongoing issues within the community and the need for effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
