 11 CASES OF SNATCHING, ROBBERY & THEFT WERE SOLVED, WITH THE RECOVERY OF CASE PROPERTIES.

 06 STOLEN TWO-WHEELERS, 01 STOLEN ECCO CAR, 02 SNACTHED MOBILE PHONES & ROBBED CASH WERE RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION.

 A COUNTRY MADE PISTOL WITH 02 LIVE CARTRIDGES AND A KNIFE ALSO RECOVERED.

 ACCUSED ARE HABITUAL & ACTIVE CRIMINALS (ONE IS BC OF PS BHARAT NAGAR), PREVIOUSLY FOUND INVOLVED IN SEVERAL CASES OF SNATCHING, ROBBERY, BURGLARY, THEFT & ARMS ACT.

 ALL 04 ACCUSED ARE SMACK ADDICTS AND TO FULFILL THEIR ADDICTION TO DRUGS, THEY STARTED COMMITTING CRIMES.

With the arrest of 04 dreaded criminals namely, (1) Deepak @ Vimal aged- 22 years s/o Lala Ram r/o Lal Bagh, Azadpur, Delhi, (2) Rashid @ Kala aged- 23 years s/o Mohd. Shahid r/o Sangam park, Delhi, (3) Mohd. Sultan @ Tipu aged- 25 years s/o Tayab r/o JJ Colony, Wazirpur, Delhi and (4) Rakesh @ Pillu aged- 25 years s/o Jagdish r/o Kabir Nagar, Rana Pratap bagh, Delhi, Staff of PS Bharat Nagar solved 11 cases of snatching, robbery & theft. 06 stolen two-wheelers, 01 stolen ECCO car, 02 snatched mobile phones & robbed cash recovered from their possession. A country made pistol with 02 live cartridges and a knife also recovered. Accused are habitual & active criminals (one is BC of PS Bharat Nagar), previously found involved in several cases of snatching, robbery, arms act, burglary & theft. They are smack addicts and to fulfill their addiction to drugs, they started committing crimes.

Brief Facts and Incident Details:-
On intervening night of 12/13.06.22 at around 11.30pm, complainant namely, Sonu aged- 26 years reported that his Rs. 2500/- were forcefully robbed by two scooty borne criminals, who also injured him with the knife. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 438/22 u/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered in PS Bharat Nagar and investigation was taken up. Considering the gravity of offence & nature of incident, a team led by SI Dinesh Beniwal, I/c PP Sangam Park comprising of SI Dayanand, HC Narender, Ct. Anshul & Ct. Harkesh was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Prem Kumar, SHO/ PS Bharat Nagar & ACP/ Ashok Vihar. The team analysed CCTV footages & raided several locations on the basis of inputs. A secret information was received and accordingly, a trap was laid down at Ganda Nala, Bharat Nagar. During checking, one person on a scooty was apprehended on pointing out by the informer. He was identified as Deepak @ Vimal aged- 22 years s/o Lala Ram r/o Lal Bagh, Azadpur, Delhi. During his cursory search, one knife used in commission of offence was recovered. On verification of recovered scooty no. DL8S BM 4889, it was found stolen vide eFIR No. 001362/22 u/s 379 IPC PS Rani Bagh. During his sustained interrogation, he disclosed his involvement in the present case alongwith his associate. He used the same scooty and knife while robbing the complainant. Further, on his instance, robbed cash Rs. 1150/- was recovered. Further efforts are being made to trace co-accused in this case. Accused Deepak @ Vimal found to be a habitual & active criminal, previously involved in 10 cases of burglary, robbery & theft.

On 14.06.22, an incident of snatching was reported in PS Bharat Nagar in which a mobile phone of the complainant was snatched by a scooty borne person. According, a case vide FIR No. 441/22 u/s 356/379 IPC was registered in PS Bharat Nagar and investigation of the case was taken up. Considering the gravity of offence & nature of incident, a team led by Insp. Prem Kumar, SHO/ PS Bharat Nagar comprising of ASI Ravinder, HC Sneh, HC Sadhu Ram, & Ct. Manmohan was constituted under the close supervision of Dr. garima Tiwari, ACP/ Ashok Vihar. The team analysed CCTV footages & sources were deployed to gather local intelligence. On the basis of inputs & gathered local intelligence, the team was able to apprehend two accused persons who were identified as Rashid @ Kala aged- 23 years s/o Mohd. Shahid r/o Sangam park, Delhi and Mohd. Sultan @ Tipu aged- 25 years s/o Tayab r/o JJ Colony, Wazirpur, Delhi. During their sustained interrogation, they disclosed their involvement in the case. On their instance, 04 stolen two-wheelers, one stolen ECCO car & 02 snatched mobile phones were recovered. Accused Rashid was riding scooty & snatched the mobile phone and accused Mohd. Sultan was standing nearby for giving him cover & information. Both accused found to be habitual and active snatchers, previously involved in 8 & 10 cases of snatchings, arms act & theft respectively.

On intervening night of 14/15.06.22, a secret information was received in PP Sangam Park that a desperate criminal was roaming in the area with weapon and he may commit some crime. Immediately, a dedicated team led by SI Dinesh Beniwal, I/c PP Sangam Park comprising of ASI Girdhari, Ct. Nitin, Ct. Naveen, Ct, Mithlesh & Ct. Anshul was constituted under the close supervision of of Insp. Prem Kumar, SHO/ PS Bharat Nagar & ACP/ Ashok Vihar. A trap was laid down at Rana Pratap Bagh and on pointing out by the informer, area of a park was cordoned off and by displaying keen sense of alertness & swift response, a person was apprehended who was identified as Rakesh @ Pillu aged- 25 years s/o Jagdish r/o Kabir Nagar, Rana Pratap bagh, Delhi. During his cursory search, a loaded country made pistol with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 444/22 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered in PS Bharat Nagar and the said accused was arrested. During his sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he was roaming in the area & looking for easy targets to commit robbery or snatching, so as earn easy money to fulfill his addiction to drugs. Further, on his instance, one scooty no. DL6S AM 6059 was recovered which was found stolen vide eFIR No. 013597/22 u/s 379 IPC PS Bharat Nagar. Accused Rakesh @ Pillu found to be a habitual & active criminal (BC of PS Bharat Nagar), previously involved in 12 cases of robbery, arms act & theft. Further efforts are being made to trace his possible involvement in other cases also.
