ONE DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED WITH HUGE QUANTITY OF CONTRABAND GANJA BY THE TEAM OF PS GULABI BAGH, DELHI
ONE DRUG PEDDLER CUM NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL ARRESTED BY THE TEAM OF PS GULABI BAGH.
TOTAL 640 GRAMS OF FINE QUALITY OF CONTRABAND GANJA RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION.
THE ACCUSED IS A HABITUAL CRIMINAL WITH THE HISTORY OF INVOLVEMENTS IN 15 CASES REGISTERED IN DIFFERENT POLICE STATIONS OF DELHI.
HE IS AN ACTIVE BC OF PS GULABI BAGH AND HE WAS RECENTLY RELEASED FROM JAIL IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST, 2022.
In order to curb the menace of sale and purchase of illicit drugs/liquor, gambling etc. in the area of PS Gulabi Bagh, a special drive has been launched. In an effort to crackdown Crime/criminals dedicated teams has been constituted and sources have been deployed at various locations.
INCIDENT:
On 05.09.2022, SI Onkar of PS Gulabi Bagh had received secret information that a drug peddler having contraband ganja would come to Pratap Nagar area. The senior officers were apprised about the secret information and as per their direction a raiding team led by SI Onkar, comprising of Ct Sandeep, Ct Parvesh and W/HC Sarita was constituted, under the close supervision of Inspr. Yashendra Singh (Inspr. Law & Order) and guidance of Shri Prashant Chaudhary, ACP/Sarai Rohilla. The trap was laid and at the instance of secret informer one person was apprehended from Gali No. 03 Pratap Nagar, Delhi.
On enquiry, his identity was revealed as Sanjay r/o Pratap Nagar Delhi, aged-30 years. After due formalities, his search was conducted and total 640 grams of fine quality contraband Ganja kept in a polythene bag was recovered from his possession.
Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 263/22 dated 05.09.2022 u/s 20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Gulabi Bagh and investigation was taken up.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, the accused Sanjay, aged-30 years disclosed that he had purchased the recovered contraband Ganja from an unknown person who met him in the area of Azadpur about a week ago and he has to supply the same Ganja in the local area in order to make adequate profit.
On sustained interrogation, it revealed that the accused is a habitual criminal with the history of involvements in 15 cases under the heads of Robbery, Snatching, Theft, Hurt etc. registered in different police stations of Delhi. He is an active BC of PS Gulabi Bagh and he was recently released from jail in the month of August, 2022 and he again started committing criminal activities.
The accused is a school dropout and has studied up to 4th standard only and he is also a drug addict. Hence, he commits crime to earn easy money and to fulfil his lust of drugs.
DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSON:
• Sanjay r/o Pratap Nagar Delhi, aged-30 years. (Previously found involved in 15 cases of Robbery, Snatching, Theft and Hurt etc. registered at Police Stations Gulabi Bagh, Roop Nagar, Civil Lines, Sadar Bazar, Sarai Rohilla, Subzi Mandi, Timarpur and Crime Branch. He is an active BC of PS Gulabi Bagh and recently released from jail in the month of August, 2022).
RECOVERY:
• Total 640 grams of contraband Ganja.
