AN HABITUAL DESPERATE SNATCHER CUM THIEF HAVING PREVIOUS CRIMINAL HISTORY ARRESTED WITH BUTTON ACTUATED KNIFE BY THE TEAM OF PS KOTWALI
ONE DESPERATE CRIMINAL ROAMING IN THE AREA IN ORDER TO COMMIT CRIME NABBED WITH BUTTON ACTUATED KNIFE BY THE TEAM OF PP BALLIMARAN, PS KOTWALI.
ONE BUTTON ACTUATED KNIFE RECOVERED FROM HIS POSSESSION.
THE ACCUSED IS A HABITUAL CRIMINAL WITH THE HISTORY OF INVOLVEMENTS IN 03 CASES OF SNATCHING, THEFT & IR ACT REGISTERED AT POLICE STATIONS KOTWALI AND OLD DELHI RAILWAY STATION, DELHI.
In compliance of regular directions of senior officers, regarding checking the menace of criminals and to curb street crime, by keeping in view the upcoming Independence Day, police presence has been increased in the beat area of Police Station Kotwali by regular area patrolling.
BRIEF FACTS:
On 06.08.2022, a dedicated police team of PS Kotwali led by W/Inspr. Gurdeep Kaur (In-charge PP Ballimaran, comprising of SI Vishram, HC Vinit Kumar and Ct Bablesh were present in the area for intensive patrolling, under the close supervision of ACP Ved Prakash, SHO/PS Kotwali and Shri Vijay Singh, ACP/Kotwali.
During patrolling at about 10:00 PM, when the above said police team reached at Dangal Maidan Parking near VanKhandi Mandir, the team noticed a person coming from Old Delhi Railway Station side and on seeing the police staff in uniform, the suspected person tried to escape from the spot. Then police team acted swiftly and apprehended the suspect person after a short chase. On enquiry he tried to distract the police team and could not give any satisfactory reply to the team about his presence and escaping from the spot. Upon his cursory search, one Button Actuated Knife was recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified as Naushad, age-25 years. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 768/22 dated 06.08.2022, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Kotwali against the accused person and investigation was taken up.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, the accusedNaushad, age-25 years disclosed that he has purchased the recovered knife from an unknown person for Rs. 300/- who met him in Old Delhi Railway Station area about 03 weeks ago and he was using the same knife for committing criminal activities.
On sustained interrogation, it revealed that the accused is a habitual criminal with the history of involvements in 03 cases of Snatching, Theft and Indian Railway Act registered Police Stations Kotwali and Old Delhi Railway Station.
The accused is an illiterate who used to ply the pedal rickshaw in the local area. He is basically belongs to Bihar, but a vagabond of Meena Bazar Jama Masjid, Delhi and also a drug addict. He commits criminal activities to earn easy money and to fulfill his lust of drugs.
DETAIL OF ACCUSED PERSON:
• Naushad r/o Vagabond, Meena Bazar, Jama Masjid, Delhi, age-25 years. (Previously found involved in 03 cases of Snatching, Theft and IR Act registered at Police Stations Kotwali and Old Delhi Railway Station).
RECOVERY:
• One Button Actuated Knife.
